Serves: about 1 ounce
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon of organic castor oil
  • 1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil
  • ¼ teaspoon, or up to 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • 1 to 5 drops lemon oil
  • 1 to 5 drops lavender oil
  • 1 to 5 drops cedarwood oil
  • 1 to 5 drops frankincense oil
Instructions
Make the scrub
  1. Measure ingredients into a small bowl.
  2. Whisk or mix together until completely combined.
  3. Use a small rubber scraper to place the scrub in a small glass jar.
  4. Allow to sit for a couple days before using.
How to use the scrub
  1. Use on dry or very slightly wet skin.
  2. Gently scrub all over the face with a small amount of the cleanser, making sure to avoid the eye area. Massage gently all over for about 30 seconds.
  3. Wet a clean washcloth with nicely warm water, wring it out, and then lay the cloth over your face.
  4. Allow the warm cloth to gently steam impurities from your skin for a moment, and then gently clean the oil from your skin with the cloth.
  5. Repeat - rinse the cloth, and gently work over the face to remove all traces of the cleanser - usually 3 or 4 times will do it.
  6. Gently pat face dry with a towel.
Notes
Use the smallest amounts of baking soda and Essential Oils, gradually increasing the amount as your skin adjusts and according to what feels comfortable on your skin.
