A Mother’s Day Brunch does not have to stress you out!
We all want to do something special for our Moms, right? Or, maybe you’re one of the Moms? Either way, a special brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day does not have to make your Mother’s Day stressful!
There are always buffet items that can either be made entirely ahead of time, or that need to be quickly cooked or heated up right before serving. Today. I’m sharing some of my own favorite no-stress Mother’s Day Brunch recipes, as well as some from food blogger friends of mine.
What do I mean by no-stress?
Now, obviously, just going out to eat would be easier for Mother’s Day. That can get pricey for a big family though. And if your family, like ours, now includes another round of little ones, they might not enjoy having to really behave in a restaurant. If you’re hosting a get-together, helping to plan one, or just attending as a guest, some of these ideas may help with your menu planning.
Getting dishes mostly, or entirely prepared the day before, can make everything go more smoothly the day of your event.
Let’s begin with some savory options
Omelet Breakfast Burritos are a great make ahead option – prep most of the ingredients the day before and it only takes a few moments right before serving to get the eggs cooked. Each person builds their burrito, customizing it to their own tastes.
Adding a few ideas from friends for no-stress recipes for a Mother’s Day brunch
No buffet is complete without Deviled Eggs, and my recipe has a ton of suggestions to change things up. No boring Deviled Eggs here, I promise.
These Twice Baked Oven Home Fries are totally no-stress and so crunchy and delicious.
For those who want some cereal options
I recommend my own Homemade Granola – definitely in the “make-ahead” category! If having people walk around with bowls of cereal and milk makes you nervous, this granola is fantastic on top of yogurt, perhaps along with some fresh fruit.
Overnight French toast is super easy
Sweets for the sweet
Though some of the above options are somewhat sweet, a few desserts are always a good idea, right? This Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake is even better the next day, which makes it perfect for a brunch.

If you want to dress things up a bit for your get-together, check out this tablecloth. It comes in many colors and sizes, and it is priced well. Cloth napkins are always nice, and you can use them over and over – very sustainable! These votive candle holders come in quite a few colors. No worries about toxic candles with these little LED candles.
